FAQs
Is this therapy or medical treatment?
No. These sessions are yoga classes, not therapy or medical treatment. I teach as a yoga teacher, not a doctor or therapist. While my background in medicine and psychiatry informs how I understand the mind-body connection and hold space, sessions focus on movement, breath, awareness and self-support through yoga practice.
Do I need yoga experience or flexibility?
Not at all. One to one sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with experience. The practice is adapted to your body, capacity and pace with no expectations to be flexible or advanced.
What happens in a one to one yoga session?
Each sessions is tailored to you. This may include mindful movement, breathwork, moments of stillness and simple awareness practices. Sessions are calm, clearly guided with options offered throughout.
How is one to one yoga different from group classes?
One to one sessions allow for fully personalised practice. We can move at your pace, focus on what is most helpful for yoga and adapt week to week. There is also more space to ask questions and explore practices in depth.
Can one to one yoga help with stress?
Yoga is often used as a supportive practice for managing stress. In these sessions the focus in on learning practical skills such as breath awareness, embodied movement and noticing patterns- this may help you feel more settled over time.
How many sessions can I book for?
Some people book a small number of sessions to build confident or learn a personal practice. Others prefer ongoing sessions as a regular supportive routine. We can discuss what feels right for you.
What if I am not sure this is for me?
That is completely okay. If you are unsure please get in touch with questions, there is no pressure to commit.
Where do sessions take place?
I will come to you for sessions and bring any equipment with me. You need a space where we can work quietly. You can use your own props if you prefer.
